Fort Worth, Texas –
Temperatures in North and Central Texas will climb into the mid-90s again this week, with heat indices potentially reaching 103° and gusty south winds making outdoor activities more hazardous.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Sunday marks the beginning of another stretch of hot, humid, and breezy days. Highs today will reach 94°F in Fort Worth and Dallas, 93°F in Waco and Killeen, and 91–92°F across much of the region. South winds between 10–20 mph may gust up to 25–30 mph. Isolated storms are expected daily, especially in far southern areas like Palestine and Hearne.
Outdoor workers and event-goers should take precautions against heat-related illness. Stay hydrated, limit afternoon exposure, and secure lightweight objects that could blow away in the wind.
Though the weather pattern will remain stable, isolated showers and storms could cause brief disruptions during the late afternoon and early evening hours, especially across East Central Texas.
The seasonably hot pattern is expected to persist through Friday, with no major cool-down in sight. Additional heat advisories may be issued if heat index values climb further.
