Fort Worth, TX – Residents in North Texas are advised to prepare for a week of unsettled weather as storm systems bring rain, high winds, and thunderstorms across the region. Rain chances peak midweek, with the heaviest rainfall expected to arrive along a strong cold front Wednesday night into Thursday. Those planning Halloween festivities should monitor local forecasts closely as storms are anticipated on Thursday, potentially impacting celebrations and creating dangerous driving conditions.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Fort Worth office, rain and storms will first appear Tuesday, with highs in the upper 80s. Breezy conditions will follow, with wind gusts up to 35 mph, particularly along major roadways such as I-35. Forecasters expect the weather to intensify Wednesday, bringing widespread thunderstorms and cooler temperatures in the low to mid-80s. The NWS warns that these storms could lead to localized flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and along the I-20 corridor, and advises drivers to use caution.

Thursday’s Halloween forecast remains concerning, with thunderstorms likely throughout the day and evening. Temperatures will stay between the low 70s and mid-80s, potentially dampening outdoor plans. Residents should prepare for fast-moving storms and check for any Halloween event updates as the day approaches.

The unsettled weather is expected to continue Friday into Saturday, with scattered storms and highs ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s.
