Shreveport, LA – A noticeable change is on the way for residents across the Four State Region tonight as a cold front moves through the area, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport. The front is expected to pass this evening and into the early morning hours of Wednesday, bringing a break from recent heat and ushering in cooler, more comfortable conditions midweek.
According to forecasters, Tuesday’s highs are expected to range between 85 and 92 degrees, but those numbers will begin to fall after the front passes. By Wednesday, highs are forecast to top out between 80 and 90 degrees, dropping further to 78–87 degrees by Thursday.
The cooler trend will continue through the weekend, with daytime highs remaining in the low to mid-80s. The National Weather Service notes that the average high temperature for early October in the region typically ranges between 79 and 83 degrees, meaning the midweek cooldown will bring conditions closer to seasonal norms.
Communities including Shreveport, Monroe, Longview, and Texarkana can expect milder afternoons and more comfortable mornings following the frontal passage.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updated conditions and any potential rainfall accompanying the front.
