Grand Forks, ND – Blowing snow and narrow snow showers are reducing visibility across northwest and west-central Minnesota this afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks warns that visibility may drop to half a mile or less in some areas through 6 p.m. Snow accumulations are expected to be light, but drivers should prepare for sudden changes in visibility over short distances.

Motorists are advised to monitor travel conditions closely, particularly near Thief River Falls and other affected regions. Slippery roads and blowing snow may create additional hazards.

Travelers should plan extra time for commutes and maintain a safe following distance. Conditions are expected to improve this evening as snow showers diminish.
