Grand Forks, ND – A dry but cool Wednesday will give way to warmer temperatures on Thursday across North Dakota, with gusty north winds shifting south. However, a cold front moving through early Friday will bring a chance of light snow, followed by a return to gusty winds and colder conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, the front will clear by midday Friday, leading to drier but colder conditions. Temperatures will range from the low 40s on Thursday before dropping into the 20s and 30s after the front passes.

Another system from western Canada will develop over Minnesota by late Saturday, bringing a mix of rain and snow. The highest chance of accumulating snow will be in northwest Minnesota on Sunday. Winds will also be a factor throughout the weekend, shifting from southwest to north at 10-35 mph.

Residents should prepare for changing conditions, especially if traveling late Friday into the weekend. Stay updated on forecasts as snowfall potential becomes clearer.
