North Dakota Semi-Truck Crash Kills 21-Year-Old Driver in Mountrail County

Mountrail County, ND – A 21-year-old man from Kenmare died after his semi-truck crashed and rolled in Mountrail County, authorities said.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on 73rd Ave NW, north of Palermo, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve near 66th St NW. The 2019 Volvo semi, which was hauling a tanker trailer, veered off the road and overturned in a ditch. Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Officials stated that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved, and no charges have been filed.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, with assistance from the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office, Stanley Fire Department, and Stanley Ambulance.
