Fargo, North Dakota – Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating potential evidence in a homicide investigation.

According to the Fargo Police Department and North Dakota Highway Patrol, investigators are seeking information about a black HDX 27-gallon tough storage tote with a red lid that may be connected to the Isadora Wengel murder investigation.

The tote measures approximately 28.6 inches long, 19.6 inches wide and 15.2 inches high. Officials said the container is considered potential missing evidence that may be related to the disposal of Wengel’s remains or other critical items tied to the case.

The search area includes locations between Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, extending into Otter Tail County, Minnesota. Specifically, authorities identified areas near Fergus Falls, Elizabeth, Underwood and Battle Lake as locations of interest.

Law enforcement agencies have not released additional details about how the tote may be connected to the investigation but emphasized its potential evidentiary value.

Drivers traveling along Interstate 94, Interstate 29 and US Highway 10 in the metro area are encouraged to remain alert for discarded containers matching the description, particularly in ditches, rural roads or wooded areas.
