Wilmington, NC – Showers will move through southeastern North Carolina late tonight, but dry and mild conditions will return for the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected after 1 a.m. Saturday, with gusty winds up to 30 mph. Temperatures will drop to the low 50s before clearing out by morning. Saturday will bring sunny skies and a high near 66, with winds shifting from the northeast.

Looking ahead, Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high of 62, followed by clear skies Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday will warm up into the low 70s with sunny conditions, making for a pleasant start to February.

No hazardous weather is expected beyond tonight’s showers, but travelers should remain cautious of slick roads early Saturday morning. Coastal residents should also monitor low tide levels, as advisories may be issued.
