Raleigh, N.C. – After a cool, cloudy start Saturday morning, much of central North Carolina is set for a stretch of sunny and warm weather that will carry through the first half of the week. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 70s Saturday, followed by low 80s on Sunday and Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, skies will remain mostly sunny each afternoon through Tuesday, with only light winds expected. Overnight lows will hover in the upper 50s to lower 60s, keeping evenings mild across Wake County and neighboring areas including Durham, Cary, and Garner.
By Wednesday, conditions turn more unsettled with a 30 percent chance of scattered showers both during the day and into the evening. Any rainfall is expected to be light, but could briefly disrupt outdoor plans, particularly for commuters along I-40 and I-440.
Residents should take advantage of the dry weekend for travel and outdoor activities, with no significant weather impacts anticipated until midweek.
The National Weather Service notes that rain chances may continue into Thursday before skies clear again by Friday.
