Raleigh, North Carolina – Central North Carolina moves into a calm stretch of weather this weekend, with sunshine and dry skies taking hold after Friday’s brief flooding risk. Saturday will bring highs near 89 degrees with light northeast winds, making for ideal conditions across Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and Fayetteville.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, no hazardous weather is expected through at least Thursday. That marks a sharp turnaround from Friday, when localized downpours created minor flooding in poor drainage areas and slowed travel in urban centers.

Residents can expect clear nights with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s, while daytime highs remain in the upper 80s to low 90s through Monday. The only chance for showers returns late Monday afternoon, but coverage will be limited and not considered hazardous.
