CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The city wakes under a sky washed in silver-blue, clear and crisp with just a trace of chill in the air. November sunlight glints off parked cars, the air still calm after a cool start. This stretch of picture-perfect fall weather continues through the end of the week before the Carolinas see their next pattern shift by early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, Thursday will bring full sunshine and light breezes with highs near 65°F across the Charlotte metro area. It’s a comfortable, steady pattern for mid-November—ideal for travel, yard work, or early holiday decorating. Mornings will stay cool, dipping into the 30s and 40s, before warm afternoons return through Saturday.

Friday looks even warmer with highs near 67°F, while Saturday pushes into the low 70s under mostly sunny skies. Winds remain light, though occasional gusts up to 20 mph could stir some leaf piles around the city. For travelers along I-85 and I-77, driving conditions remain excellent through the weekend, with no rain or fog expected.

By Sunday, high pressure begins to shift east, allowing slightly more moisture to creep in from the Gulf. Clouds will increase late Sunday into Monday, bringing a subtle drop in temperature and a small chance of rain early next week.

To be fair, this might be the last extended mild stretch before colder air surges south closer to Thanksgiving. For now, Charlotte enjoys another calm, golden phase of fall—where chilly mornings give way to warm sun and the season’s first true “winter tease” still lingers just beyond the horizon.
