North Carolina Weather: Sunny Skies and Warmer Temps Ahead for Newport This Week

Newport, NC – A stretch of mostly sunny skies and rising temperatures will bring a welcome break from winter’s chill for Newport residents this week. After a cold start Sunday morning, temperatures will climb into the upper 50s, with even warmer days ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mostly sunny, with highs reaching 61°F and light northeast winds. Monday night brings partly cloudy skies, with lows around 41°F. By Tuesday, temperatures will continue to rise, hitting 66°F under mostly sunny conditions.

Wednesday will be another warm day, with a high near 64°F and plenty of sunshine. Nighttime temperatures will remain mild, hovering around 46°F. Thursday will be the warmest day of the week so far, with highs reaching 68°F, though clouds will increase in the evening.

A slight chance of showers develops Thursday night, with a 50% chance of rain and lows around 45°F. Friday will cool slightly, with a high near 56°F and mostly sunny conditions returning by the weekend.

Drivers should be mindful of changing weather patterns, especially if rain moves in later in the week. Outdoor plans should be set for early in the week to take full advantage of the clear skies and warmer temperatures.
