Wilmington, NC – Sunshine will dominate across southeastern North Carolina on Thursday, bringing calm and pleasant weather by day but cooler-than-normal conditions overnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington.

Forecasters say skies will stay clear throughout the day, with light northwest winds shifting west to southwest by afternoon. High temperatures are expected to reach the low 70s for most areas, including Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Florence.

According to the NWS, Thursday night will remain mostly clear, but inland communities such as Kingstree and Lumberton could see lows dip into the mid-40s, while coastal spots will hold closer to 50°F. Winds will stay light, allowing temperatures to fall quickly after sunset.

While no rain or severe weather is expected, the weather service advises residents to prepare for cooler nights as the region settles into a stable, dry fall pattern through the weekend. Daytime highs are expected to stay near seasonal averages heading into Friday.

Overall, the end of the week looks ideal for outdoor plans, with bright skies and comfortable afternoons continuing into the weekend.
