Raleigh, N.C. – The National Weather Service in Raleigh is monitoring the potential for light wintry precipitation late this week, mainly across the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
While details remain uncertain, forecasters indicate that precipitation could move in early Friday and last through Friday night, possibly bringing a mix of rain and snow to parts of central North Carolina if temperatures are cold enough.
Ahead of that system, the week will feature dry and chilly conditions Monday and Wednesday, with a brief warm-up Thursday before clouds increase.
Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for forecast updates as the late-week pattern becomes clearer. Even minor wintry precipitation could lead to slick travel conditions if it develops Friday night.
