Raleigh, NC – Central North Carolina is in for a bright start to October, with clear skies and mild fall weather dominating the forecast. Commuters and weekend planners can expect sunshine by Friday, October 3, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be sunny with highs near 76 degrees and light northeast winds. Drivers on I-40 and I-440 should experience smooth travel conditions, with no rain or storms expected to impact traffic. Saturday and Sunday will stay warm and pleasant, making it a perfect weekend for outdoor activities, fall festivals, or Halloween decorating.

Thursday remains cooler, with highs near 73 under sunny skies. Friday brings the shift, with temperatures pushing into the upper 70s. By Sunday, highs reach 80 degrees, and the warming trend continues into early next week, with Monday and Tuesday expected to climb into the low 80s.

Nights will stay comfortably cool, ranging from the low 50s on Thursday night to around 60 degrees by Saturday night. These crisp evenings provide excellent conditions for early fall events and neighborhood gatherings.
