McLeansville, North Carolina – Nearly two years later, investigators are still searching for answers in the unsolved killing of a Guilford County teenager, and they say someone in the community may hold the key.

According to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old David White Jr. was found shot to death on Harvest Road in McLeansville after deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a “man down” early that morning. The case remains open, with detectives continuing to pursue leads.

Authorities have renewed calls for information, emphasizing that even small details could help move the investigation forward. Detectives say tips from the public remain critical as they work to piece together what led to the teen’s death.

Investigators have released the victim’s name and images with family consent in hopes of generating new leads and keeping the case in the public eye.
