North Carolina Braces for Warming Trend After Freezing Night – Weekend Weather Outlook

Charlotte, NC – A bitterly cold start will give way to a significant warm-up this weekend, with sunny skies and rising temperatures across the Charlotte metro area. After a low of 19°F overnight, temperatures will steadily climb, bringing a mix of mild days and chilly nights through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will see sunny skies and a high near 44°F. Winds will remain light, shifting northwest at 3 to 6 mph. Friday night will stay mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to 23°F.

By Saturday, temperatures will rise to 50°F under mostly sunny conditions, with light southwest winds increasing to 7 mph in the afternoon. Saturday night will remain mostly clear, with a low of 28°F. Sunday marks a more noticeable warm-up, with highs reaching 56°F, followed by a mostly clear evening with temperatures dipping to 32°F.

Looking ahead, Monday’s forecast calls for sunshine and a high of 62°F, with partly cloudy conditions Monday night. By midweek, highs will reach the mid-to-upper 60s, though rain chances increase by Thursday.
