Raleigh, NC – A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for portions of central and eastern North Carolina from 10 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday, with wind chills expected to dip into the single digits.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Raleigh, affected areas include Fayetteville, Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, and Albemarle. Prolonged exposure to the cold could result in hypothermia or frostbite.
Residents should bundle up, bring pets indoors, and ensure outdoor animals have proper shelter. Space heaters should be monitored closely to prevent fire hazards.
Temperatures are expected to warm slightly by Friday afternoon, but another cold snap is possible next week.
