New York, NY – A warming trend will bring relief to New York City this weekend as an arctic front moves out, giving way to milder temperatures. After a frigid start to the week, highs will climb into the 40s by Sunday, marking a noticeable shift from the recent cold spell.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday night will remain cold with lows around 23°F and wind chills in the teens. Friday will bring sunshine but stay breezy, with a high near 34°F. Winds from the northwest at 20 mph could make it feel colder.
By Saturday, the mercury rises to 39°F under sunny skies. Saturday night remains mostly cloudy with a low of 31°F. Sunday continues the warming trend, with highs reaching 43°F and mostly sunny conditions.
Looking ahead, temperatures will continue to climb into the upper 40s next week, with a chance of rain on Tuesday. New Yorkers can expect improving outdoor conditions, but wind chills may still require an extra layer.
