Albany, N.Y. – Lows in the 40s will blanket much of eastern New York through Sunday, bringing a chilly start to June before warmer and drier conditions return early next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany, daily highs across the region—from Pittsfield to Poughkeepsie—will range between the upper 50s and low 70s through Monday. Nighttime lows are expected to fall as low as 42°F in towns like Piseco and Gloversville, particularly from Saturday through Monday morning.
Showers are likely across the weekend, especially in the Capital Region and Adirondack foothills. While no widespread flooding is expected, cooler temps may impact outdoor plans and slow warming for gardens and agriculture. Residents in Cobleskill, Whitehall, and Bennington should also anticipate brisk mornings with damp conditions.
With temperatures beginning to climb back toward the mid-70s by Tuesday, the shift marks the start of a warming trend that should continue into next week. In the meantime, residents are advised to keep jackets handy, limit time outdoors during cooler evenings, and watch for slippery roads early in the day.
Cool and damp conditions will hold through Monday, with a clearer and warmer pattern taking shape by Tuesday across the region.
