Albany, NY – A frontal boundary will drop southward across New York today, bringing a mix of clouds, sun, and scattered showers to the region. High temperatures will be around seasonable levels, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Albany.

According to the NWS, areas along and north of Interstate 90 will experience isolated to widely scattered showers. Albany can expect a high of 86°F, with neighboring cities such as Syracuse reaching 83°F and Binghamton peaking at 84°F. The showers will be more prevalent in areas like Old Forge, with temperatures around 74°F.

The forecast for the upcoming week shows varied conditions. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high of 87°F. Rain is expected on Tuesday with a 75% chance of showers and temperatures cooling to 78°F. Wednesday will also see rain, with a 60% chance of showers and a high of 82°F. The rain continues into Thursday with a 50% chance, and temperatures remaining around 80°F.

By Friday, the weather clears up with sunny skies and a high of 83°F. The weekend looks pleasant, with Saturday reaching 82°F and mostly sunny conditions. This pattern of fluctuating weather highlights the typical summer variability in New York, keeping residents on their toes.
