Buffalo, NY – A wet and ակտիվ stretch of weather is unfolding across western and north central New York, with widespread rain set to move in by Friday morning and continue through much of the day.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, rain chances surge to 80% to 95% Friday across cities including Buffalo, Rochester, Batavia, and Jamestown. Some areas may briefly start or end as light snow or a wintry mix, especially during the early morning or late evening hours when temperatures hover near freezing.

Friday’s system will also bring gusty winds south of Lake Ontario, potentially impacting travel along I-90 and nearby ರಸ್ತೆ corridors. Additional rounds of precipitation are expected, including another system arriving late Saturday night into Sunday, bringing a mix of rain and snow across the region.

Temperatures remain seasonably mild through the weekend, with highs reaching the upper 40s to near 50 degrees Friday and Sunday. However, a cooldown arrives by Monday, with highs dropping into the low 30s and overnight lows dipping into the upper 20s.

Drivers should prepare for wet roads Friday and remain alert for changing conditions this weekend, especially during periods of mixed precipitation. More advisories are possible as multiple systems track through the region.
