Buffalo, NY – A mix of rain, snow, and dropping temperatures will create hazardous conditions in Buffalo and surrounding areas this week. Drivers along I-90 should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility as weather conditions shift.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring scattered showers in the afternoon, with highs around 41°F. By Wednesday night, rain transitions to snow as temperatures dip to 35°F. Thursday remains wet, with rain in the afternoon turning into snow showers by the evening. Winds will gust up to 23 mph, further complicating road conditions.

Friday marks a shift to colder temperatures, with highs only reaching 27°F. Snow showers are likely in the morning, impacting morning commutes. Friday night’s low will drop to 21°F, bringing a 40% chance of more snow.

Looking ahead, Saturday continues the snowy trend, with likely accumulations between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday sees a brief break, with partly sunny skies and highs near 24°F. However, the cold remains, with Sunday night’s temperatures plummeting to 12°F.

Drivers should use caution on I-90 and local roads, especially during overnight freezes. Residents should prepare for slick sidewalks and colder conditions through the weekend.
