Binghamton, NY – Cold conditions will settle across much of Upstate New York tonight, as temperatures fall into the mid-20s to low 30s across the region, prompting a weather advisory for drivers and residents.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, overnight lows on Monday, March 25, are expected to reach 25°F to 30°F in many areas, with Boonville and Norwich forecast to dip as low as 26°F. Rain showers will continue along the New York State Thruway corridor through the evening, with snow expected overnight in Northern Oneida County.

Cities including Binghamton, Syracuse, Elmira, and Utica will remain above 25°F, but icy patches may still develop on untreated roads and sidewalks during early morning hours. Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling, especially in elevated or rural areas prone to freezing.

While no major storms are forecast, the combination of rain and rapidly falling temperatures could result in slick travel conditions by dawn. Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 30s and low 40s by Tuesday afternoon, offering some thawing relief.

Motorists are advised to check 511NY for updated travel conditions and delays overnight and into the Tuesday morning commute.
