Buffalo, NY – Another cold day is in store for much of New York, with temperatures ranging from the mid-30s to the low 40s. Light snow showers are expected to continue in areas east and southeast of Lake Ontario but will taper off by midday.
According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures today will be 10-15 degrees below average, with winds expected to be lighter than Tuesday. The cold weather will persist for the next one to two weeks, although there will be occasional warmer days mixed in.
Temperatures today will range from a chilly 34°F in Lowville to 45°F in Dansville. Snow showers, while light, could impact morning travel, especially in areas near the lake. Drivers should be cautious in these regions until the snow subsides around noon.
Looking ahead, New York’s 6-10 day outlook predicts below-normal temperatures for the upcoming week. Despite this, there are some warmer days in the forecast, offering a brief respite from the cooler conditions.
