Albany, NY – Residents across eastern New York can expect another quiet and cool evening Tuesday, with overnight lows dropping into the 40s and low 50s. Temperatures will rebound Wednesday, reaching the 60s to low 70s under mostly pleasant conditions.

According to the US National Weather Service Albany, high pressure will continue to dominate the region, keeping skies mostly clear and weather comfortable through the week. The agency noted that patchy fog is possible in river valleys late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Forecasters added that while most of the region will remain dry, there is a low chance—about 20 to 30 percent—of scattered rain showers Wednesday afternoon and evening south of Interstate 90, as a weather system passes to the southeast.

Highs Wednesday are expected to range from the mid-60s in higher elevations to the low 70s in valley locations. Looking ahead, the weather pattern is expected to stay steady, with dry conditions and comfortable temperatures likely continuing into the weekend.

Travelers and commuters should remain alert for morning fog in low-lying areas, which may reduce visibility at times. Otherwise, most outdoor plans remain on track with mild, fall-like weather prevailing.
