Rensselaer, NY – Cold temperatures and occasional snow showers will impact the Rensselaer area this weekend, bringing wind gusts and slick roads. Residents should prepare for chilly conditions, with lows dipping into the teens and highs struggling to reach the mid-30s.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will start cloudy before turning mostly sunny, with a high near 25°F. Gusty northwest winds up to 31 mph will make it feel even colder. By Friday night, temperatures will plummet to 9°F under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday will bring some relief, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 34°F. Winds will be calmer, making outdoor activities more bearable. However, clouds will return Saturday night, with a low around 19°F. Sunday will stay mostly cloudy, reaching a high of 35°F, followed by a chilly night with lows near 22°F.

Looking ahead, Monday will remain cloudy with a high of 40°F. Rain chances increase Monday night into Tuesday, with temperatures hovering in the low 40s. Drivers should stay alert for wet roads early next week.
