Buffalo, NY – Strong winds are slamming western New York Tuesday with gusts topping 40 mph, triggering a Wind Advisory through 10 p.m. Snow flurries, rain, and mixed spring precipitation will make travel hazardous along I-90 and surrounding roads during the evening commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, southwest winds between 20 and 30 mph are expected, with gusts reaching 45 mph at times. The advisory, covering Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties, warns of potential power line impacts and minor tree damage.
