Buffalo, NY – A spring storm is set to bring rain and gusty winds to Western New York this weekend, potentially impacting travel and outdoor activities. The strongest winds and heaviest rain are expected Saturday afternoon, with showers lingering through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday’s forecast includes scattered showers beginning in the morning, becoming widespread by noon. Wind gusts could reach up to 28 mph, making driving conditions difficult, especially along I-90. Highs will stay in the mid-40s, with cooler temperatures overnight.

Sunday will see brief clearing in the morning, but another round of rain is expected by the evening. Winds will shift southeast at 5-10 mph. Monday’s forecast calls for additional scattered showers and highs near 47°F.

By Tuesday, Buffalo will get a break from the rain, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low 40s. A mix of sun and clouds is expected Wednesday, followed by another chance of rain and snow showers by Thursday.

Residents should prepare for slick roads and limited visibility, particularly on highways. Travelers along I-90 should allow extra time for weekend commutes. Stay updated with local forecasts as conditions evolve.
