New York, NY – A winter storm brought light snowfall across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut overnight, with totals reaching over 3 inches in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service, Long Island saw the highest accumulation, with North Babylon receiving 3.2 inches. Sayville and Sag Harbor recorded just over 3 inches, while parts of Queens and Brooklyn saw up to 2 inches.

In Connecticut, snowfall reached 2.5 inches in Pawcatuck, while Bridgeport and Stratford received 2 inches. New Jersey also saw modest snowfall, with North Arlington and Montvale recording 1.5 inches.

While snowfall amounts were relatively low, officials urged drivers to remain cautious due to lingering icy conditions. Commuters should allow extra travel time as some untreated roads may remain slick.

This snowfall follows a pattern of intermittent winter storms affecting the region. Meteorologists advise residents to stay updated on future weather alerts as another system may impact the area later this week.
