Binghamton, NY – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday, bringing a mix of snow, sleet, and ice that could create hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, affected areas include Syracuse, Binghamton, Elmira, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre, where up to one inch of snow and sleet is expected, along with light ice accumulations. Higher elevations could see up to one-tenth of an inch of ice, with wind gusts reaching 35 mph.
