New York Hit-and-Run: One-Year-Old Boy Killed on State Route 364, Search for SUV Driver Ongoing

Benton, NY – A tragic accident on State Route 364 has claimed the life of a one-year-old boy. The child was struck by a black SUV traveling west near Carroll Road around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The Yates County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the fatal hit-and-run.

According to Sheriff Francis Ryan, the vehicle was operated by a single occupant. Authorities are asking for public assistance in identifying the driver. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at 315-536-4438. All information will remain confidential.
