Albany, NY – Subzero temperatures and dangerous wind chills as low as -25 degrees will persist through Thursday across eastern New York. Residents along I-87 and nearby areas are urged to prepare for prolonged cold weather and take necessary precautions.
According to the National Weather Service, the region is experiencing wind chills that could cause frostbite within 15 minutes of exposure. Bitter cold will continue through tonight, with actual temperatures dropping to -8°F and winds adding to the chill. Hazardous Weather Outlooks remain in effect for much of the area.

• Thursday: High of 25°F with partly sunny skies. Wind chills may fall as low as -8°F during the morning.
• Thursday Night: Clear skies with a low near 6°F. Winds shifting south at 5 mph.
• Friday: Mostly sunny with a high of 25°F. Winds northwest at 5-9 mph.
• Saturday: Slightly warmer with a high of 27°F. Mostly sunny skies expected.
• Sunday: Partly sunny and much milder with highs near 35°F.
