Binghamton, NY – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 1 AM to 1 PM EST Thursday for portions of central New York and northern Pennsylvania, bringing snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, areas including Steuben, Chemung, Tioga, Bradford, Luzerne, and Wyoming counties could see up to 2 inches of snow and one-tenth of an inch of ice, with gusty winds up to 40 mph.
Roads will become slick and hazardous, especially during the Thursday morning commute. Motorists should plan for delays and poor visibility. By early afternoon, temperatures should rise, changing precipitation to rain.
