New Orleans, LA – The Labor Day weekend in South Louisiana and South Mississippi is set to be a wet one. These storms, especially prevalent in the afternoon, will keep temperatures lower, with highs around 90 degrees and lows in the mid-70s.
According to the National Weather Service in New Orleans, areas near and north of Interstate 10 and 12 could see 1 to 2 inches of rain. However, southern areas, particularly those south of Lake Pontchartrain, may receive between 3 to 6 inches. Isolated spots might experience even heavier rainfall totals.
