New Mexico Police Issue Missing Endangered Advisory for Raton Teen

Raton, NM – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old woman who was reported missing in Raton this week.

According to the New Mexico State Police, Carolina Apodaca was last seen in the early hours of Wednesday, May 14, 2025, near Black Mesa Road in Raton. She has been classified as a “missing endangered” individual, prompting the release of a statewide advisory.

Apodaca is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 126 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, and tan shoes, according to officials. Her current whereabouts remain unknown, and police have not released any further details on the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

The Raton Police Department is urging anyone who may have seen Apodaca or has information about her location to call 575-445-2704. Authorities are also reminding the public that anyone who encounters her should immediately contact 9-1-1.

No foul play has been confirmed, but police have labeled the case as endangered due to the nature of the disappearance. Investigators are continuing to search the area and follow up on leads as they work to ensure her safe return.
