Philadelphia, PA – A winter storm is set to impact parts of Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday, bringing up to 8 inches of snow and hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for areas including Wilmington, Dover, Atlantic City, Cherry Hill, and Rehoboth Beach. Snowfall totals are expected to range from 4 to 6 inches, with some areas seeing as much as 8 inches.

The heaviest snowfall is forecasted to occur Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning, potentially affecting both the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Road conditions may become treacherous, and visibility could be significantly reduced during periods of heavy snow.

Residents are urged to monitor local forecasts and prepare for difficult travel. Officials recommend having emergency supplies, checking vehicle readiness, and delaying unnecessary trips.

Snowfall rates may vary across the region, with coastal areas experiencing heavier accumulation due to moisture from the Atlantic. Additional updates will be provided as the storm develops.
