Mount Holly, NJ – Residents across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware can expect a cooler day Sunday with some morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
Forecasters said highs will range from the upper 60s in northern New Jersey to the mid-70s across Philadelphia and southern Delaware. Conditions will feel less humid compared to last week, bringing a touch of early fall across the region.
However, beachgoers are urged to use caution. According to the National Weather Service, there is a high risk of dangerous rip currents along the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches throughout the day. Officials warn that swimmers should stay out of the surf or use extreme caution, as rip currents can pull even experienced swimmers out to sea.
Looking ahead, the next widespread chance of rain arrives Tuesday, September 23, and is expected to linger into next weekend. Showers could impact both morning and evening commutes across much of the region, forecasters said.
Today’s conditions provide a mostly pleasant Sunday for outdoor plans inland, but coastal visitors should remain alert to beach hazards.
