Philadelphia, PA – Temperatures across the Delaware Valley will stay unusually warm through Friday, but a round of showers and storms could disrupt the weekend beginning Friday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, tonight will be cooler and dry, with winds easing by sunset. Lows will dip into the mid-40s to low 50s, including 52°F in Philadelphia and 47°F in Allentown. Highs will rebound quickly, with most of the region climbing into the 70s Wednesday through Friday, and even near 80°F in parts of inland Delaware and southern New Jersey. Coastal areas will be cooler, sticking to the 60s.

The next chance for rain arrives Friday night into Saturday, bringing potential thunderstorms and a 50–60% chance of showers. Commuters and weekend travelers should prepare for slick roads and brief downpours.

Residents are urged to enjoy the dry stretch but stay weather-aware as conditions shift. Keep devices charged, check weekend plans, and watch for updated alerts, as more advisories could be issued late in the week.
