Philadelphia, PA – A spring warming trend is sweeping across New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area, bringing a welcome rise in temperatures that could reach near 80°F by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, highs on Thursday will range from the upper 50s along the Jersey Shore to the mid-60s inland, including areas such as Trenton, Philadelphia, and Wilmington. By Friday afternoon, much of the region will see temperatures climb into the low 70s, with continued dry weather expected through Friday night.

The warming pattern affects a broad swath of the Mid-Atlantic, including southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and parts of Maryland. Coastal towns such as Cape May and Atlantic City will remain slightly cooler, hovering near 60°F due to onshore breezes. Meanwhile, interior locations like Reading, Allentown, and Morristown will edge into the upper 60s.

Residents are advised to enjoy the mild weather while preparing for potential changes. The next chance of rain is forecast for Saturday. No hazardous weather is currently expected, and the dry stretch offers favorable conditions for outdoor activities and travel.

Temperatures remain well above seasonal averages, marking a noticeable shift toward early summer-like conditions across the region.
