Philadelphia, PA – Coastal flooding and steady rain are creating tough travel conditions across the Delaware Valley today, with the National Weather Service keeping a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 11 p.m. Monday. Drivers should use caution on low-lying roads near waterways, where water levels may rise one foot above normal.

According to the National Weather Service Mount Holly, minor flooding is expected along tidal areas in Philadelphia, Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington Counties, including sections near the Delaware River. The advisory warns that flooding could block several local roads and cause brief detours during the morning and evening commute. Residents are urged not to drive through standing water and to move vehicles from flood-prone areas.

Rain will taper by early Tuesday as cooler air moves in, bringing a stretch of mostly sunny, dry weather through Thursday. Highs will climb to the upper 60s midweek before dropping into the low 40s by Thursday night — a possible early fall cold snap for leaf-peepers and pumpkin patch visitors.
