Mount Holly, NJ – The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Frost Advisory for portions of New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania, with temperatures expected to drop to the low 30s early Monday, October 27.
The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT Monday, covering Mercer, Middlesex, Western Monmouth, and much of southern New Jersey, including Camden, Gloucester, Burlington, Ocean, and Cape May counties. It also extends into Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania.
Forecasters expect overnight lows between 32°F and 34°F, leading to widespread frost formation. The NWS warns that frost could damage or kill sensitive plants if left uncovered. Gardeners and homeowners are advised to bring potted plants indoors, cover outdoor vegetation, and disconnect hoses to prevent freeze damage.
Monday morning will begin cold and clear before sunshine pushes temperatures back into the upper 50s by afternoon. Another frosty night is possible later in the week as cool, dry air lingers over the region.
