Mount Holly, NJ – A winter weather system is expected to bring a mix of snow and rain to the Delaware Valley Sunday evening through early Monday morning, with the greatest chance of accumulation north and west of Philadelphia.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, snowfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are forecast across the Lehigh Valley, northern New Jersey, and the Pocono region. Areas including Allentown, Reading, Morristown, and Sussex County could see measurable accumulation by daybreak Monday.

Closer to the I-95 corridor — including Philadelphia, Trenton, and parts of central New Jersey — a mix of rain and snow is expected. Forecast probabilities show about a 50% chance of at least 1 inch of snow in Philadelphia, with higher probabilities (57% to 70%) north and west of the city.

Farther south across South Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, mainly rain is expected. Atlantic City, Cape May, Dover, and Wilmington have precipitation probabilities above 80%, but surface temperatures may limit snow accumulation.

The system moves in Sunday evening and tapers off early Monday morning. Roads north of the city could become slick overnight, particularly on untreated surfaces.

Commuters should monitor updated forecasts before the Monday morning drive. Do you expect snow where you live — or just cold rain?
