Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Rainy skies and gusty winds will dominate the weather across eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey through Thursday, making for a dreary stretch that could bring up to 1.5 inches of rainfall to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, periods of rain will develop throughout Wednesday, accompanied by strengthening easterly winds gusting between 25 and 35 mph. Temperatures will stay in the 50s to low 60s, with the damp, breezy conditions expected to persist into Thursday.

Camden, Trenton, and much of the I-95 corridor can expect continued showers Thursday, with isolated thunderstorms possible during the afternoon. Rain will begin to taper later in the day, but wet roads and reduced visibility will likely impact commutes and local events.

Residents are advised to avoid flooded areas, secure loose outdoor items, and use caution while driving in gusty conditions. The combination of wind and dampness could also lead to minor power outages or tree limb damage in exposed areas.

Conditions will gradually improve by Friday, with partly sunny skies returning and only a slight chance of lingering showers. More updates will follow if additional advisories are issued.
