Philadelphia, PA – A soaking rainfall is expected to move across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware beginning late Sunday and continuing through Monday morning, potentially dropping over an inch of rain in some areas.
According to the National Weather Service Mount Holly, the region will see scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday, before more widespread rainfall arrives Sunday night. Rainfall totals through Monday are expected to range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches, with localized amounts exceeding one inch.
Temperatures will remain seasonally mild through Sunday evening, with lows ranging from the low 40s in the north to near 60 in southern Delaware. The rain is forecast to taper off by late Monday, but a sharp cold front will usher in much colder air. Highs on Tuesday will only reach the 40s to low 50s, with gusty northwest winds of 25–35 mph.
A widespread freeze is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, especially in areas that have already begun seasonal planting. Residents are urged to secure outdoor plants and remain weather aware as conditions rapidly change.
