Philadelphia, PA – A wind advisory is in effect for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware from 3 p.m. to midnight Thursday, as strong northwesterly winds are expected to impact the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible, with sustained winds between 15 and 25 mph. These conditions could result in downed tree limbs, unsecured objects being blown away, and isolated power outages. Officials urge residents to secure outdoor items such as patio furniture, trampolines, and decorations.

Temperatures will also be noticeably cooler than Wednesday, with highs in the 40s and low 50s across the region. Wind chills may make conditions feel even colder.

Motorists should use caution, particularly on bridges and overpasses where strong gusts may create hazardous driving conditions. Residents are advised to prepare for possible power outages and to check for local updates from utility providers.
