Philadelphia, PA – The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Frost Advisory in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT Saturday, as temperatures are forecast to fall to around 32 degrees across New Jersey, Delaware, and southeastern Pennsylvania.

The advisory includes Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, and Atlantic counties in New Jersey, New Castle, Kent, and inland Sussex counties in Delaware, and Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania.

According to the NWS, frost formation could damage or kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left unprotected. Residents are encouraged to bring potted plants indoors, cover gardens and flower beds, and avoid watering overnight to reduce frost risk.

Rural and low-lying areas are expected to be the coldest, while urban centers like Philadelphia and Wilmington may remain slightly warmer but could still see patchy frost by sunrise. This advisory marks the first widespread frost event of the fall for much of the Mid-Atlantic.

Temperatures will rebound into the upper 50s to low 60s by Saturday afternoon, but early morning frost could end the growing season in several inland areas.
