Mount Holly, NJ – A Frost Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. EDT this morning for much of New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, as temperatures dip into the mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly.

Forecasters report that temperatures as low as 35°F are allowing widespread frost formation, especially in rural and inland areas. The advisory includes cities such as Trenton, Camden, Dover, Wilmington, Millville, and Reading, as well as communities across Chester, Montgomery, Gloucester, and Ocean Counties.

“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation,” the NWS cautioned early Sunday. Residents are urged to cover or bring indoors plants and flowers, as unprotected vegetation may be killed or damaged by the morning chill.

Conditions are expected to improve after 9 a.m., as sunshine lifts temperatures into the 50s and 60s. However, another cold night is possible later this week as fall weather continues to settle over the Mid-Atlantic region.
