New Hampshire – Drivers across the Granite State could encounter slick roads during the morning and evening commutes as light snow chances increase through the final stretch of the month.
According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, temperatures across New England are expected to remain near seasonal averages from Sunday through Thursday, while precipitation odds lean above normal. With cold air in place, that pattern favors periodic snow instead of rain, especially across central and northern New Hampshire.
Manchester and Concord may see light but steady snow showers at times, enough to coat untreated roads and overpasses along I-93 and I-89. Along the Seacoast, including Portsmouth, brief bursts of snow could mix with ocean-enhanced moisture, leading to quick visibility drops. Farther north toward the White Mountains and the Canadian border, slightly higher totals are possible if any system strengthens offshore or if Great Lakes snow bands drift east.
Road crews may need to treat bridges and secondary roads during overnight hours. Residents should allow extra travel time, keep winter emergency kits in vehicles and monitor local advisories for short-notice updates.
Additional outlooks will refine snowfall timing and amounts as winter holds on through Thursday.
