Manchester, New Hampshire – A late-season cold surge will drive temperatures well below freezing across New Hampshire overnight, creating widespread frost and increasing the risk of slick roads and snow showers.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, below-normal temperatures will persist across the state through early next week, running 5 to 15 degrees below seasonal averages. While precipitation remains near normal, the colder air will support winter-like impacts across much of the region.

Manchester is expected to drop into the mid to upper 20s between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m., with northern areas such as Conway and Berlin falling even lower. Nashua and Concord will also see widespread freeze conditions, especially away from the immediate coastline.

Light snow showers are possible across central and northern New Hampshire, particularly in higher elevations of the White Mountains. Brief bursts of snow could reduce visibility along I-93 and Route 16, while southern areas may see a mix of rain and wet snow or isolated icy spots on untreated roads.

Residents should protect sensitive plants, cover outdoor vegetation, and use caution during early morning travel. This colder pattern will persist through early next week, with additional advisories possible as freezing conditions continue.
